Acute Tick Bite Telemedicine Visit
COMING SOON. Bookings open the week of June 22, 2026. We are finalizing scheduling and provider setup. Use the information below to prepare; the booking widget turns on when we are ready.
If you are experiencing any of these symptoms right now, please call 911 or go to your nearest emergency department: high fever, severe headache, facial drooping or paralysis, severe joint swelling, chest pain, shortness of breath, confusion, vision loss, or fainting.
A telemedicine visit for an acute tick bite. You meet by video with Jamie Lorrigan, DNP, APNP, Wisconsin-licensed.
You found a tick, you removed it, and you want a clinical answer fast from a Lyme-literate, ILADS-member provider. This visit puts you in front of a Lyme-literate, ILADS-member, Wisconsin-licensed provider by video.
Who this is for
This visit is for an acute tick bite only: a tick you found and removed recently, with or without a rash. If you have chronic Lyme, long-term Lyme symptoms, or other tick-borne illness, please do not book this visit. Use our regular new patient pathway instead so you can be evaluated by the right provider.
Eligibility
- You are a Wisconsin resident, or you are physically located in Wisconsin for the visit.
- You are 13 years of age or older. For a younger child, call us at 920-651-3600.
- You are not enrolled in or eligible for Medicare, Medicaid, or CHIP.
- Your concern is an acute tick bite, recent in onset, not a chronic or ongoing condition.
Eligibility pre-screen (preview)
Coming soon. When booking opens, you will be required to pass this pre-screen before scheduling. Try it now to see if you would be eligible.
All three questions are required.
1. Are you currently a Wisconsin resident, or will you be physically located in Wisconsin during the visit?
2. Is the patient 13 years of age or older?
3. Are you enrolled in or eligible for Medicare, Medicare Supplemental insurance, Medicaid, or CHIP?
What you will get when this launches
- An initial video visit with Jamie Lorrigan, DNP, APNP, an Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner licensed in Wisconsin, Lyme-literate and ILADS-member. About 60 minutes. $375.
- A Lyme-literate early empirical treatment decision. When clinically appropriate, Jamie Lorrigan chooses the medication and the course length that fit your situation.
- A prescription routed to your preferred pharmacy if treatment is right for you.
- Up to two optional follow-up video visits, generally at 4 weeks and 8 weeks after the initial visit. $225 each, about 30 to 45 minutes, scheduled and paid separately.
- Care under this pathway runs up to 12 weeks total.
How it will work
- Check your eligibility. The pre-screen above.
- Schedule your visit. Coming soon. We are finalizing the booking widget. Until then, no online scheduling.
- Pay for the visit. Coming soon. The $375 checkout will live here.
- Complete your intake form. We will send a secure intake form to your email after payment. It takes about 5 to 10 minutes and must be finished before the visit.
- Have your video visit. Jamie Lorrigan reviews your answers with you, evaluates the bite, and decides on treatment. If a prescription is appropriate, she sends it to your pharmacy right after the visit.
- 4-week follow-up, optional. A $225 video visit to check on symptoms and review anything new.
- 8-week follow-up, optional. A second $225 video visit. Your care under this pathway ends 12 weeks after the initial visit.

If you have an active tick bite right now, please go to urgent care or call your primary care provider. Do not wait for this service to launch.
Policies (when this launches)
- Video only. Every visit in this pathway will be by video. You will need a device with a camera and a stable internet connection. We will not offer phone-only visits for this pathway.
- Cancellation and no-show. Cancellation more than 24 hours before your appointment: 50 percent refund of the visit fee. Cancellation within 24 hours: no refund, plus a $50 late-cancellation fee. No-show without notice: no refund, plus a $50 no-show fee.

FAQ
When can I actually book?
Booking opens the week of June 22, 2026. When scheduling goes live, the widget on this page replaces the "Coming soon" notice. Until then, no appointments can be made.
When will I be seen?
We work to get you scheduled as quickly as Jamie Lorrigan's availability allows. We cannot promise a specific timeframe.
What treatment will I get?
Jamie Lorrigan follows a Lyme-literate, ILADS-aligned approach for an acute tick bite. When she decides treatment is right for your situation, she chooses the medication and the course length that fit your case. The exact decision is made on the video visit and depends on your history, the bite details, and any symptoms.
What if I cannot get to a video visit?
This pathway will be video only. Wisconsin telemedicine rules require a real evaluation, and video is how we will do it. If video is impossible for you, call the clinic and we will point you to the right alternative, which may be an in-person urgent care.
What if my form is not done before the visit?
We will reschedule you once at no charge. If the form still is not done at the rescheduled visit, the visit is forfeited along with the fee. The form takes 5 to 10 minutes; do it right after you pay.
Do you take insurance?
No. This is a self-pay visit at $375. We cannot see patients who are enrolled in or eligible for Medicare, Medicaid, or CHIP through this pathway.
Will I definitely get a prescription?
No. The intake form alone is not a prescription, and payment is not a prescription. Jamie Lorrigan evaluates you on the video visit and decides what is clinically right for you, which may or may not include medication. If a medication is appropriate, she picks the right one for your situation, taking into account pregnancy, breastfeeding, allergies, and other medications you take.
What to do about the tick right now
You can take these steps now whether or not this visit type is open yet. They help any provider give you better care.
- If the tick is still attached, remove it. Use fine-tipped tweezers, grasp as close to the skin as possible, pull steadily without twisting. Do not crush it. Wash the bite area and your hands with soap and water.
- Save the tick if you can. A sealed bag, a small jar, or tape on paper all work.
- Photograph the tick and the bite if possible. Place the tick on a coin or piece of paper for scale.
- Note the date, location on your body, and where you were when bitten. Geographic location matters because tick-borne disease prevalence varies by region.
- Watch for symptoms. Bullseye rash, spreading rash, fever, joint pain, headache, fatigue, or unusual neurological symptoms. If any of these appear, call us at 920-651-3600. For the severe symptoms listed at the top of this page, call 911 or go to the emergency department.
