Lyme and Tick-Borne Illness

If you have been exhausted, foggy, and aching for years, bounced from specialist to specialist and told your labs look normal, you are not imagining it. Lyme disease and its coinfections are easy to miss and hard to treat, and the complex, long-standing cases are exactly the kind other clinics send our way. We are a Lyme-literate, ILADS-informed practice, and this is much of what we do.

Symptoms you might recognize

Lyme rarely looks the same in two people, and it often hides behind everyday diagnoses. Patterns we see often:

  • Fatigue that rest does not fix
  • Brain fog, memory trouble, and word-finding struggles
  • Joint and muscle pain that moves around
  • Headaches, nerve tingling, or burning
  • Unrefreshing sleep, and symptoms that flare in cycles

If several describe your last few years, it is worth a closer look.

Why Lyme gets missed

Standard testing was built to confirm early, classic infection, not the chronic, multi-system picture many people carry for years. A normal result does not always mean no infection, and coinfections like Babesia and Bartonella can drive symptoms of their own. We look at the whole picture, your history, your exposure, and your patterns over time, rather than a single lab value, because the root cause is usually more layered than one test can show.

How we approach it

There is no single protocol that fits every Lyme patient, and we do not treat it that way. We build a plan around where you actually are, drawing on the tools that fit: targeted therapies, immune and mitochondrial support, drainage and detox pathways, circadian and lifestyle foundations, and homeopathy, and we adjust as your body responds. The goal is to quiet the infection and rebuild the terrain that lets you heal, not to chase symptoms one at a time.

Who you will work with

You will be cared for by a team that lives in this work. Evey Andersen, FNP-C, and Jamie Lorrigan, DNP, APNP, are both Lyme-literate, ILADS-informed providers with deep experience in tick-borne illness and the complex chronic cases that come with it. Whichever of them you see, you are in experienced hands, and they work closely together on the hardest cases.

What to expect

Lyme recovery is a partnership, and it is rarely a straight line. There are good days and harder days, and progress that builds over time rather than overnight. We set realistic expectations and keep adjusting the plan as you go. What we promise is careful attention, a real plan, and a team that does not give up on hard cases.

"When you are already feeling down about the whole Lyme disease, the ladies at Green will make you feel so much better mentally, that you CAN do this and don't get discouraged. I am doing so much better than I was last year at this time. Life is Great!"
