Lyme and Tick-Borne Illness
Green Medicine of Wisconsin provides Lyme-literate, ILADS-informed care for Lyme disease and tick-borne illness, including Babesia and Bartonella coinfections, at our clinic in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. Two nurse practitioners see patients in person here, and patients travel in from across the country. We are self-pay, with a $710 initial appointment and a superbill for commercial insurance.
If you have been exhausted, foggy, and aching for years, bounced from specialist to specialist and told your labs look normal, you are not imagining it. Lyme disease and its coinfections are easy to miss and hard to treat, and the complex, long-standing cases are exactly the kind other clinics send our way. We are a Lyme-literate, ILADS-informed practice, and this is much of what we do.

Lyme rarely looks the same in two people, and it often hides behind everyday diagnoses. Patterns we see often:

Why Lyme gets missed
Standard testing was built to confirm early, classic infection, not the chronic, multi-system picture many people carry for years. A normal result does not always mean no infection, and coinfections like Babesia and Bartonella can drive symptoms of their own. We look at the whole picture, your history, your exposure, and your patterns over time, rather than a single lab value, because the root cause is usually more layered than one test can show.
How we approach it
Personalized, Not Protocols. No single plan fits every Lyme patient, and we do not practice that way. We build a plan around where you actually are, drawing on the tools that fit, which can include prescription therapies, nutrition and supplements, circadian and lifestyle foundations, and homeopathy, and we adjust the plan as we go. Prescription options include ILADS-informed antibiotic regimens when appropriate. We look at the whole picture rather than chasing symptoms one at a time. Tick-borne illness and mold exposure often overlap, so we evaluate both when the picture calls for it.

You will be cared for by a team that lives in this work. Evelyn (Evey) Andersen, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, and Dr. Jamie Lorrigan, DNP, APRN, ACNPC-AG, are both Lyme-literate nurse practitioners with deep experience in tick-borne illness and the complex chronic cases that come with it. Whichever of them you see, you are in experienced hands, and they work closely together on the hardest cases. What to expect
Care for tick-borne illness is a partnership. Your providers stay closely involved, review how you are doing at each visit, and refine the plan as you go. What we promise is careful attention, a real plan, and a team that does not give up on hard cases.
Your first visit is in person at our Oshkosh clinic, about 2 hours with your provider inside a 3 to 4 hour visit with in-office labs. Coinfection testing runs through specialty labs, and we review labs you already have. Lyme follow-ups generally run every 8 weeks.

Frequently asked questions
Are your Lyme providers doctors?
Our Lyme care is provided by two licensed nurse practitioners with prescribing authority: Evelyn Andersen, a family nurse practitioner, and Dr. Jamie Lorrigan, who holds a Doctorate of Nursing Practice. Dr. Kevin Green, MD is our collaborating physician and medical director.
Do you see Lyme patients from outside Wisconsin?
Yes. Patients have traveled to our Oshkosh clinic from 24 states and 3 countries since 2013. Our providers are licensed in Wisconsin, so care begins in person here, with phone and video follow-ups where state licensure permits. Appleton International (ATW) is roughly 25 minutes from the clinic.
How much does Lyme care cost?
We are self-pay, with a superbill for commercial insurance. The initial appointment is $710, and your $200 deposit is applied to it. A typical first visit is $2,000 to $2,200 including labs and supplements, and often less, since in many cases labs are covered by your insurance. Follow-ups are $300 to $400. We are not enrolled in Medicare, Medicaid, or CHIP.
How long is the wait for a first appointment?
New patient appointments usually book out about 2 to 3 months, sometimes longer during peak tick season, in the order intakes are received.
What if I have a tick bite right now?
If you are in Wisconsin and 13 or older, Dr. Jamie Lorrigan, DNP, sees acute tick bite visits by video, $375 for about 60 minutes, without becoming a regular patient first.
