This is a serum-balm hybrid for the body, which means the texture sits between a thin oil and a thick cream. That matters because the skin on the body is thicker than the face and needs both a hydrating phase, the water-binding ingredients like sodium hyaluronate and glycerin, and an occlusive phase, the plant oils that hold that water in. A balm gives you both in one pass.

What sets this one apart is the actives roster: pink rock-rose extract, dragon fruit, tomato extract, manuka honey, glycogen, and xymenynic acid. Glycogen is interesting; it is the storage form of sugar your skin cells use as fuel, and topically applied it supports the energy economy of the cells doing the work of barrier repair.
