The chemistry behind oil cleansing is straightforward: oil dissolves oil. Sebum, sunscreen, and most makeup are oil-soluble, which is why a water-based wash alone tends to leave a residue while stripping the lipid layer your skin actually needs. A cleansing oil lifts the oil-soluble grime without disrupting the barrier.

What sets this formula apart is the lipid regimen. Olive, sunflower, jojoba, argan, and rice bran oils mirror the fatty acid profile of healthy skin, with apricot, rosehip, grape seed, and castor layered in for cushion and slip. Aloe leaf juice, lavender flower water, chamomile, and calendula sit underneath to keep the surface settled while the oils do their work.

I file this under live clean. The cleanse is the most underrated step in skincare, and getting it right means everything that comes after has a clean canvas to act on. The deeper why behind reactive skin is often a barrier disrupted at the sink, not a missing serum upstream.

Massage onto dry skin, emulsify with a splash of warm water, then wipe away with the soft cloth provided.
