The mechanism behind a good face oil is delivery. Lipid-soluble actives need a lipid carrier to cross the stratum corneum, and rice bran oil and rosehip oil happen to be two of the better carriers for that job. They are also rich in their own native antioxidants, which means the base is doing work on its own before the actives are even counted.

What sets this formula apart is the addition of stable vitamin C in an anhydrous format. Sodium ascorbyl phosphate plus calcium ketogluconate sit dormant in the oil until the moment of contact with skin, where the moisture there activates them. No oxidation in the bottle, no color shift, no potency lost over the course of the bottle.

I tuck this product into live clean. The simpler the formulation, the easier it is to trust over years of daily use. The deeper why behind dull, tired-looking skin is often barrier function, and a clean oil with stable C tends to support both at once.

Two to three drops pressed into clean skin, morning or evening, on its own or as the final step over a serum.
