Formula Overview
N-Acetyl Cysteine 500 mg per capsule, an amino acid precursor to glutathione that supports antioxidant function, respiratory comfort, and normal hepatic clearance pathways.
A note from Evey
NAC is the body's most efficient way to recharge glutathione, the master intracellular antioxidant. Cysteine is the rate-limiting amino acid for glutathione synthesis, and the acetylated form survives digestion and crosses into the cell to feed the pathway. Five hundred milligrams per capsule sits in the working range for that purpose.
What sets NAC apart from other antioxidants is its second job. It thins the structure of mucus by breaking disulfide bonds, which is why it has a long history of use for sinus and airway comfort during seasonal congestion.
This is a live-clean partner. Glutathione is central to how the liver processes everything from medications to environmental compounds, and supporting that pool aligns with the deeper why behind reducing oxidative load over a lifetime.
I generally suggest taking NAC away from meals and pairing it with adequate selenium and B vitamins, since glutathione recycling depends on the wider methylation system being supported.
