Formula Overview

Ortho Biotic is a probiotic formula designed to deliver active organisms shown to support healthy gut microflora, support intestinal integrity, and support immune function. Included is Saccharomyces boulardii, an extensively researched microorganism shown to support microflora balance by supporting commensal organism function. Each Ortho Biotic capsule provides seven probiotic strains chosen for their ability to withstand the gastrointestinal environment and adhere to the intestinal tract.

Ortho Biotic is a multi-strain formula designed to support that ecosystem. It includes seven probiotic strains chosen for their ability to survive the stomach and adhere to the intestinal tract, plus Saccharomyces boulardii, a well-studied beneficial yeast that supports microflora balance from a different angle than the bacterial strains. The combination is part of why I reach for this one. Bacteria and beneficial yeast work on different parts of the ecosystem.

Probiotics live and work best when the foundations are in place. Eat fiber, eat fermented foods when you tolerate them, hydrate, and protect the rhythm of sleep that lets the gut do its overnight repair work. Probiotics amplify that work. They do not replace it.
