Samento is a chemotype of cat's claw (Uncaria tomentosa) standardized to contain only Pentacyclic Oxindole Alkaloids, the alkaloid family research has tied to balanced immune signaling. The botanical pieces of cat's claw can pull immune response in opposite directions, which is why I think of Samento as a tool that helps an immune system find its set point.

Most cat's claw on the shelf blends both alkaloid families together. This one does not. Samento removes the Tetracyclic alkaloids that may dampen the very signaling we want to support, leaving a tincture that supports immune balance without overshooting it.

I lean on Samento clinically as a foundational botanical when we are working on the reasons behind chronic immune dysregulation.
